The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti

The "Note from the Author" and "A Conversation with Hannah Tinti" at the back of the book provide interesting information on the influences that guided this story. I recommend taking a look at them.

For discussion from the Reader's Guide:

Did you believe the story Benjamin told when he took Ren from St. Anthony's?
Would you have fallen for the scams they ran?
What vulnerabilities did they prey on?
What is the key to being a succesful scoundrel?

Reply in comments or bring your thoughts to share at the meeting.

Is there any way to share the author's conversation? I would love to read it.

For anyone interested, Hannah Tinti has her own website: http://hannahtinti.com . If you click on The Good Thief, you can select Q&A, which has her interview. The comments that follow, and her responses, are a fun read as well. Of particular note, she viewed Benjamin as a Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp type (who said Johnny Depp last night?!) and also mentions working on a sequel. Expect Ren and Benjamin to meet again...
